tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom

I love to share what I love. I love to share what makes me happy. I love to share precious moments from our life. I love to share my thoughts. I love to share the books I read. I just love to share moments. Today I would love to share few thoughts about the book I have finished to read a few days ago. This is one of the most touching books I have ever read and I would love that everyone of you could find this book and read it, believe me, you will love it. This book will open your heart and it will make you a better person.
Some of my favourite lines:

"Dying," Morrie suddenly said," is only one thing to be sad over, Mitch. Living unhappily is something else. So many of the people who come to visit me are unhappy."
"Well, for one thing, the culture we have does not make people feel good about themselves. We're teaching the wrong things. And you have to be strong enough to say if the culture doesn't work, don't buy it. Create your own. Most people can't do it. They're more unhappy than me - even in my current condition.
"I may be dying, but I am surrounded by loving, caring souls. How many people can say that?"

I thought of something else Morrie had told me: "So many people walk around with a meaningless life. They seem half-sleep, even when they're busy doing things they think are important. This is because they're chasing the wrong things. The way you get meaning into your life is to devote yourself to loving others, devote yourself to your community around you, and devote yourself to creating something that gives you purpose and meaning."

"There is no experience like having children.’ That’s all. There is no substitute for it. You cannot do it with a friend. You cannot do it with a lover. If you want the experience of having complete responsibility for another human being, and to learn how to love and bond in the deepest way, then you should have children."

"Love wins. Love always wins."

"The most important thing in life is to learn how to give out love, and to let it come in."

"I give myself a good cry if I need it. But then I concentrate on all the good things still in my life. On the people who are coming to see me. On the stories I'm going to hear… Mitch, I don't allow myself any more self-pity than that. A little each morning, a few tears, and that's all."

"When I have people and friends here, I'm very up. The loving relationships maintain me."

"Everyone knows they're are going to die, "he said again, "but nobody believes it. If we did, we would do things differently."

"Invest in the human family. Invest in people. Build a little community of those you love and who love you."

"Forgive yourself. Forgive others. Don't wait, Mitch. Not everyone gets the time I'm getting. Not everyone is as lucky."

"Death ends a life, not a relationship."

Be good with you, be good with everyone and do good things to others!

Nikita Turned 4 Months Old Today

My beautiful little boy,

You have changed a lot and so quickly! It seems like only yesterday we were bringing you home from the hospital and now at your 4 months old you look so grown up. These past 4 months have been so beautiful and such a blessing and I can't say that everything has been perfect but you make the life perfect. You fill our family with love and make our family whole and happy.
We are always excited to be woken up by you even if it is at 3am or 6am. You smile a lot and we love your sweet smile. You have learned to roll over, you blow spit bubbles and you bring all your toys to your mouth, you hold your head up, you enjoy tummy time now, you are a curious little baby, you recognise your mama and tata, you love sucking your hands and feet. You are so calm and I am so proud of being your mama.
We pray for you daily and will continue to do so. I am forever thankful for you, my sweet little boy.

Happy 4 months my baby boy!

With love,

War Room (Christian Movie)

Yesterday, I watched this movie and I loved it so much! It is a very powerful film and if you are a wife or a husband, I would love to encourage you to watch this film. There is no perfect marriage, family or relationship and if someone tells you that they have the perfect family tells you a big, fat lie.

Nowadays people (including me) seem to be obsessed with showing off their lives on social media and everyone on Facebook are having the perfect relationships... but, only on FACEBOOK. In real life, a lot of people are struggling in their relationships, some have given up, others too proud or shy to admit it.

This movie shows the power and importance of prayer. It shows that ONLY God can change people. It teaches us to worry less and pray more.

"6. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
7. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." ~ Philippians 4:6-7

I really hope that you will watch this film and it will motivate you to make your own prayer corner.
God bless you!!!

08.06.2016 - A Day Of Firsts

I am not sure where time has gone, but our little man, Nikita, turned 4 weeks last Sunday and 1 month old yesterday. The first month has really been great compared to other stories that I heard from other mamas. He is getting so big and I can't believe he is already a month old. He is the sweetest baby, the only time he cries is only when he gets hungry. Ahhh he is just so adorable and this adorable baby is mine :)

In this post I will share photos from last Sunday (4 weeks old) and from yesterday (one month old). I am feeling so blessed that he was born on Sunday and since then, for all of us Sunday is a big day. I also feeling so blessed to have my Sasha as a husband and I am so thankful to him for being so good to us and for capturing all the beautiful moments.

Yesterday was a day of firsts for our Nikita and he reached 6 firsts:
1. First month birthday;
2. First lunch out;
3. First passport photos;
4. First long walk;
5. First mom and son date;

22.05.2016 - Two Week Old

On Sunday we celebrated quietly and wonderfully Nikita's two week old birthday. We went for a family walk on a sunny afternoon, took these lovely photos and also did some shopping. Our baby loves being outside. He loves looking up at the sky to watch clouds, airplanes, birds and when he is looking up I always saying to him that you came from heaven - I just love thinking this way. I love this little bunny so much and I am feeling so blessed, sometimes I am crying (tears of happiness) like a baby. Does anyone else cry when they are happy?
He is growing so fast and I make sure to spend enough time with him.  I love being close to our little man and learn from each other. He loves listening to me and I love talking to him. I just can't stop looking at him, touching, holding or cuddling him.

Thank you very much for all your warm wishes!!!

Much love

Nikita At One Week

Hello Everyone!!! How are you all?

I am so happy to write this post and share with you these precious photos. Tomorrow he will be already 2 weeks old, but I am posting photos when he was one week old. I know that many of you are waiting for more photos of our little man. I am feeling so sorry that have no time at all to come more often here. So in this post I would be able to write shortly about our Nikita. He is a very happy baby, sleeping a lot and he loves eating mama's milk and very often :) During the day Nikita eats every 2-3 hours and during the night 3-4 hours, sometimes more. He sleeps very well and the last three nights were probably our best nights, he slept for about 4-5 hours at a time. He likes water a lot and we are trying to give him a bath every night.

I love Nikita so much and it seems like he has always been here. I cannot imagine life without him. Thank you God for blessing us with such a sweet baby!!!

Wishing you all a very lovely weekend!!!
Much love

Birth Announcement

Hooray!!! Sashka and I are OVERJOYED to announce the birth of our healthy, happy baby boy. Nikita was born last Sunday after 46 hours of labour ( the first 25 of which were unmedicated )... I will choose a time to write a birth story. Now I am very busy with this little man and have no time at all to spend on internet. I feel like I am new too and trying to fit into this world along with our little boy hehehe.

At birth, he weighed 3.780kg and measured 50cm.
We are so thankful to family and friends for the prayers, love and support they have shown us and Nikita.

Welcome to the world, our little Angel!!!

Thank you all for your love and prayers!!!

Pregnancy Update & What I Crocheted

Today I am 40 weeks + 6 days and no signs still. During the last few nights I had a little more intense braxton hicks but nothing regular and nothing important. I have midwife appointment tomorrow and let's see what she would suggest to do :) People keep saying that first babies and boys are often late. It's funny that at this period of waiting I can't think of anything else other than the baby. BABY, PLEASE COME SOON! :)

I am not a fan of Converse sneakers, but I like them and thought that would be a lovely idea to make a pair of them for our little man. I had fun making these booties and I am so happy with the final result. If you love crocheting, you also can try making these adorable crochet baby converse booties.

40+4 Days and Still Pregnant

For anyone that is still reading my blog I just thought I would write a short post to say that I am still here... and still pregnant.
Today I am 40 weeks and 4 days. I am feeeling very well, doing lots of exercises, going for long walks, eating exotic fruits ... and as you probably know, all these are great ways to induce labour naturally.
I went to the hospital on Saturday and the midwife encouraged me and told me that I don't need to worry at all as I have a happy baby. If the baby will not arrive until Thursday then I will be going back on Thursday to check again.

Here is a photo of me from yesterday :) as well as a few other photos :)
And this happy picture is from last Friday (40w1d). Here I went for a swing at the local park. It was fun and it also help to induce labour :)

Thank you very much for all your warm words and prayers!!!
Much love
